Announcements:

Today is...
National Cream Filled Donut Day

On this Day in History
On this day in 1901, the 42-year-old Theodore Roosevelt is suddenly elevated to the White House when President McKinley dies from an assassin's bullet. But while McKinley's untimely death brought Roosevelt the presidency, 17 years earlier two other deaths had sent the young Roosevelt fleeing to the far West where his political ambitions were almost forgotten.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today
Ants cannot chew their food, they move their jaws sideways, like scissors, to extract the juices from the food.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School
What is the definition of Responsibility?
 - the state or fact of having a duty to deal with something or of having control over someone
What is the definition of Fairness?
 - in accordance with the rules or standards

Today, think of two people that are Fair and have shown Responsibility. Thank them for showing good Pillars of Character.

According to Baron Thomas Babington Macauley, English historian and statesman, “The measure of a man's character is what he would do if he knew he never would be found out.”

Back to School Night
Tonight is Back to School Night from 6:00pm - 7:00pm.

Safety First!
  • Remember to use the crosswalk.
  • Please remember to walk when traveling through campus.
  • Also, remember to use quiet voices in all academic areas.
  • Play safe on the playground and when the bell rings to line up, walk to your line safely. We do not want anyone running as you could get hurt.
  • When you arrive at school in the morning, you are to to sit at the lunch tables. All students are to remain sitting at the lunch tables until the duty teacher says that you may get up.
  • At the end of the day, your teacher will walk you to your designated exit for parent pick-up. If your ride is not there, you need to wait, stay at the front of the school and wait patiently and quietly for your ride.

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!"
