Good morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Wednesday, October 24, 2012. The forecast is calling mostly sunny skies this morning, with a high around 73 degrees.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from _________________ class to lead us with the pledge.

October 24 is officially, "United Nations Day".

On this Day in History:

On this day in 1861, workers of the Western Union Telegraph Company link the eastern and western telegraph networks of the nation at Salt Lake City, Utah, completing a transcontinental line that for the first time allows instantaneous communication between Washington, D.C., and San Francisco.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

A rubber tire is actually one single giant molecule.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

The word of the week is Caring, our fifth Pillar of Character, represented by the color red:
It is easier to love "humanity" than to love people. A person who really cares feels an emotional response to both the pain and pleasure of others.
According to a Albert Einstein, German-born physicist, philosopher, "The world is not dangerous because of those who do harm, but because of those who look at it without doing anything."

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
