Good Morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Wednesday, May 29, 2013. The forecast calls for sunny skies with a high of around 75 degrees.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from Mrs. Goulart's class to lead us with the pledge.

Next week we will be joined by Mrs. Glaze's class for the pledge.

Today is...

Officially Put A Pillow On Your Fridge Day.

On this Day in History:

On this day in 1848, following approval of statehood by the territory's citizens, Wisconsin enters the Union as the 30th state.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

A baby humpback whale drinks up to 130 gallons of milk each day.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

The Pillar of the Week is Citizenship, our sixth Pillar of Character, represented by the color purple. When you think about citizenship, think regal purple as representing the state.

An effective citizen is someone who takes time away from their “pursuit of happiness” to do things that sustain our freedoms and keep the country safe.

According to Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, German playwright, poet, novelist, "We can really respect a man only if he doesn’t always look out for himself."

This Friday, May 31st, is Rock Springs Night at Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza from 3:00-9:00.

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
