On this Day in History:

On this day in 1781, The German-born English astronomer William Hershel discovers the planet Uranus, the seventh planet from the sun.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

The electric eel of South America (Electrophorus electricus) can generate over 600 volts, and can paralyze even a horse.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

The Pillar of the Week is Responsibility, our third Pillar of Character, represented by the color green. Remember to think Think being responsible for a garden.
According to John D. Rockefeller, Jr., entrepreneur, "Every right implies a responsibility, every opportunity an obligation, every possession a duty."

This is the Season of Non-violence:

Your word for the day is Inspiration
Think of at least two people who exemplify the practice of nonviolence. What is it you admire about them? Practice these behaviors today so that other people may be inspired.

Tomorrow night is Rock Springs night at Chuck E. Cheese pizza. Come on out, have some good times, pizza, and support our school.

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
