Good Morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Wednesday, June 12, 2013. The forecast calls for sunny skies with a high of around 71 degrees.

Today is...

Officially National Jerky Day.

On this Day in History:

On this day, Anne Frank, a young Jewish girl living in Amsterdam, receives a diary for her 13th birthday.
Also on this day in history, Mr.Truett says his final farewell to Rock Springs School as he embarks on his next great journey.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

A goldfish will turn gray if kept in the dark for a long time.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

Your character also count in your community. We want to encourage all of our Roadrunners to continue to demonstrate their Pillars of Character all summer long. No matter where you go, where you are, or who you are with, always be of good character. Remember, you represent your school, your family, and yourself.

According to Dwight D. Eisenhower, 34th President of the United States, "This world of ours... must avoid becoming a community of dreadful fear and hate, and be, instead, a proud confederation of mutual trust and respect."

5th grade promotion will be held today at 9:30 in the MPR.

Field Day for grades K-4 we begin at 8:30.

Teachers: tomorrow's Learning Headquarters training will be at the District Office from 8:00 to 2:30.

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
