Good Morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Wednesday, January 30, 2013. The forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with a high of around 66 degrees.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from Mrs. Andrew's class to lead us with the pledge.

Next week we will be joined by Ms. Peter's class for the pledge.

January 30th is officially, "National Escape Day".

On this Day in History:

On this day in 1933, with the stirring notes of the William Tell Overture and a shout of "Hi-yo, Silver! Away!" The Lone Ranger debuts on Detroit's WXYZ radio station.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

With more than 80,000 arms, the Basket Starfish has the greatest number of arms.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

The Pillar of the Week is Responsibility, the third Pillar of Character, represented by the color green:
Responsible people are ethical. Ethical people show responsibility by being accountable, pursuing excellence and exercising self-restraint. They exhibit the ability to respond to expectations.
According to Albert Camus, French novelist, "Life is the sum of your choices."

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
