Good Morning Rock Springs School!

Today is day 79 of school on this Wednesday, December 16, 2015. The forecast calls for mostly sunny skies, with high of about 61 degrees.

Today is...
National Chocolate-covered Anything Day

On this Day in History:
On this day in 1773, a group of Massachusetts colonists disguised as Mohawk Indians board three British tea ships moored in Boston Harbor and dump 342 chests of tea into the water. Becoming known as the Boston Tea Party.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:
The biggest egg in the world is the ostrich egg. It could take as many as 30 chicken eggs to equal its volume, and up to 2 hours to hard boil.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:
It's Pillars of Character Week at RSU!

Yesterday I suggested making your own Character Counts! tickets to give to fellow students showing good character. How many students did you catch being good Pillars of Character?

Today, continue to watch and try and double the number of students you catch.

According to a Portuguese proverb, "Good habits result from resisting temptation."

  • Play safe on the playground and when the bell rings to line up, walk to your line safely. We do not want anyone running as you could get hurt.
  • When you arrive at school in the morning, you are to to sit at the lunch tables. All students are to remain sitting at the lunch tables until the duty teacher says that you may get up.
  • At the end of the day, your teacher will walk you to your designated exit for parent pick-up. If your ride is not there, you need to wait, stay at the front of the school and wait patiently and quietly for your ride.

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
