January 10th is officially, "National Bittersweet Chocolate Day".

On this Day in History:

On this day in 1920, the League of Nations formally comes into being when the Covenant of the League of Nations, ratified by 42 nations in 1919, takes effect. The League of Nations goal was to be a permanent international body to maintain peace in the postwar world. On this same day in 1946, the League of Nations is dissolved and becomes the United Nations, comprising 51 nations, convenes at Westminster Central Hall in London, England.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

The smallest bone in the human body is the stapes or stirrup bone located in the middle ear. It is approximately 0.11in long.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

The Pillar of the Week is Citizenship, the sixth Pillar of Character, represented by the color purple:
A good citizen has a commitment to the public sphere can have many expressions, such as conserving resources, recycling, using public transportation and cleaning up litter. The good citizen gives more than she or he takes.
According to Elvis Presley, the King of rock 'n' roll, "Happiness is knowin' you've done a good job, whether it's professional or for another person."

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
