Good Morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Wednesday, November 14, 2012. The forecast calls for mostly sunny skies, becoming partly cloudy with a high around 79 degrees.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from _________________ class to lead us with the pledge.

November 14th is officially, "National Pickle Day".

On this Day in History:

On this day in 1851, Moby-Dick, a novel by Herman Melville about the voyage of the whaling ship, is published. Moby-Dick is now considered a great classic of American literature and contains one of the most famous opening lines in fiction: "Call me Ishmael."

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

A Shrimp's heart is in its head.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

The Pillar of the Week is Trustworthiness, the first Pillar of Character, represented by the color blue:
A trustworthy person is someone in whom you can place your trust and rest assured that the trust will not be betrayed. A person can prove their trustworthiness by fulfilling an assigned responsibility.
According to Edgar J. Mohn, “ A lie has speed, but truth has endurance.”

Fundraiser Update:

Today is the last day for the fundraiser. Orders due tomorrow. Mr. Bones, the Fundraising Dog will be visiting Mr. Horstman's classroom.

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
