Good morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Thursday, September 20, 2012. The forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and a high of 92 degrees.

Pledge:

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from _________________ class to lead us with the pledge.

Announcements:

On this Day in History:

On this day in 1806, after nearly two-and-a-half years spent exploring the western wilderness, the Corps of Discovery, led by Lewis and Clark,  arrived at the frontier village of La Charette, the first settlement they had seen since leaving behind the outposts of eastern civilization in 1804.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

The pineapple is actually a giant berry.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

Over the last few weeks we have learned the colors of our Character Counts Pillars. Let's review: Trustworthiness is blue, Respect is yellow or gold, Responsibility is green, Fairness is orange, Caring is red, and Citizenship is purple.
According to Albert Einstein, Swiss-American mathematician, physicist and public philosopher, "Most people say that it is the intellect which makes a great scientist. They are wrong: it is character."

Tomorrow is Frog Spit Friday! Be sure to wear your RSU t-shirt to show your school pride and spirit! And join Mrs. Frank after school for a nice refreshing Frog Spit!

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
