Good morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Thursday, September 13, 2012. The forecast calls for a sunny skies with a high of 90 degrees. It's going to be a warm one today and tomorrow is supposed to be even warmer, so stay cool a drinks plenty of water.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from _________________ class to lead us with the pledge.

On this Day in History:

On this day in 1814, Francis Scott Key writes a poem which is later set to music and in 1931 becomes America's national anthem, "The Star-Spangled Banner."

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

The largest frog in the world is The Goliath Frog of Gabon in West Africa and can grow as big as 13 inches long and can weigh up to 6 1/2 pounds.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

The word of the Day is Responsibility. As the second R in TRRFCC, Responsibility is represented by the color green. When thinking of Responsibility think about being responsible for a garden or finances; or as in being solid and reliable like an oak
According to Woodrow Wilson, 28th U.S. president, "Provision for others is the fundamental responsibility of human life."

Don't forget that tomorrow is RSU Friday! Show your school pride by wearing your RSU t-shirt and we'll see you in the quad for the morning assembly.

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
