Good morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Tuesday, September 25, 2012. The forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and a high of 82 degrees.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from _________________ class to lead us with the pledge.

On this Day in History:

The first Congress of the United States approves 12 amendments to the U.S. Constitution, and sends them to the states for ratification. The amendments, known as the Bill of Rights, were designed to protect the basic rights of U.S. citizens, guaranteeing the freedom of speech, press, assembly, and exercise of religion; the right to fair legal procedure and to bear arms; and that powers not delegated to the federal government were reserved for the states and the people.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

Women blink nearly twice as much as men.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

This week we a going to look at the first pillar, Trustworthiness
When others trust us, they give us greater leeway because they feel we don’t need monitoring to assure that we’ll meet our obligations. They believe in us and hold us in higher esteem. That’s satisfying. At the same time, we must constantly live up to the expectations of others and refrain from even small lies or self-serving behavior that can quickly destroy our relationships.
According to Ralph Waldo Emerson, American essayist, philosopher and poet, "What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us."

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
