Good Morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Tuesday, March 19, 2013. The forecast calls for partly cloudy skies and high of around 70 degrees.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from Mrs. McDowell's class to lead us with the pledge.

After break we will be joined by Mrs. Sylliaasen's class for the pledge.

Today is...

Officially National Chocolate Caramel Day.

On this Day in History:

On this night in 1953, for the first time, audiences are able to sit in their living rooms and watch as the movie world’s most prestigious honors, the Academy Awards, are given out at the RKO Pantages Theatre in Hollywood, California.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

Rafflesia Arnoldii is the largest flower in world, and can grow as big as an umbrella.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

The Pillar of the Week is Fairness, our fourth Pillar of Character, represented by the orange. Remember to think of dividing an orange into equal sections to share fairly with friends.

This is the Season of Non-violence:

Your word for the day is Friendliness
To humorist Will Rogers, strangers were simply friends he hadn’t met. View those you encounter today in that light. Make a new acquaintance.

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
