Good Morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Tuesday, June 4, 2013. The forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with a high of around 70 degrees.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from Mrs. Glaze's class to lead us with the pledge.

Today is...

Officially Do-Dah Day.

On this Day in History:

On this day in 1919, The 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, guaranteeing women the right to vote, is passed by Congress and sent to the states for ratification.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

Rats can’t burp.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

It's Pillars of Character Week at RSU! Are you a TRRFCC (terrific) student? If you are, then you are demonstrating the Six Pillars of Character.
Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship.

All year we've been talking about the Pillars of Character. During our last few days of school I challenge you to do something each day that demonstrates the Pillar of the Day. Today's Pillar is Respect, our second Pillar of Character, represented by the color yellow or gold. When you think about respect, think "The Golden Rule".

According to Mark Twain, American humorist, author and journalist, "In his private heart no man much respects himself."

From Mrs. Stump; Let's get those library books turned in. We still have many student that have not turned in their library books. Remember that the third Pillar of Character is Responsibility.

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
