Good Morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Tuesday, February 5, 2013. The forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with a high of around 63 degrees.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from Ms. Peters class to lead us with the pledge.

Next week we will be joined by Mrs. Laquindanum's class for the pledge.

February 5th is officially, "National Chocolate Fondue Day".

On this Day in History:

On this day in 1934, Henry Louis Aaron Jr., the baseball slugger who broke Babe Ruth's legendary record of 714 homers, is born in Mobile, Alabama.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

Healthy nails grow about 2 cm each year. Fingernails grow four times as fast as toenails.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

The Pillar of the Week is Fairness, the fourth Pillar of Character, represented by the color Orange.

This is the Season of Non-violence:

Your word for the day is Courage.
Eleanor Roosevelt urged, “You must do the things that you think you cannot do.” Practicing these 64 Ways will challenge you to do things that you think you cannot do. Today, light a candle and accept the courage to practice 64 Ways of living nonviolently.

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
