Good Morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Tuesday, December 4, 2012. The forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with a high of around 73 degrees.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from _________________ class to lead us with the pledge.

December 4th is officially, "National Cookie Day".

On this Day in History:

On this day in 1783, future President George Washington, then commanding general of the Continental Army, summons his military officers to Fraunces Tavern in New York City to inform them that he will be resigning his commission and returning to civilian life.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

Shark's teeth are literally as hard as steel.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

The Pillar of the Week is Responsibility, the third Pillar of Character, represented by the color green:
Responsibility means treating other people with consideration. The golden rule, “do to others as you would have them do to you,” has been around for thousands of years and pretty much sums up what it means to be responsible to other people. Responsible people use the language of courtesy (please, thank you, excuse me, you’re welcome) as part of their normal, daily life. Responsible people settle disagreements in a friendly way. They understand that people can disagree and still be friends.
According to a Yoruban proverb, “ Words are like spears: Once they leave your lips they can never come back.”

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
