Good Morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Tuesday, April 30, 2013. The forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with a high of around 70 degrees.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from Mr. Horstman's class to lead us with the pledge.

Next week we will be joined by Mrs. Mallinger's class for the pledge.

Today is...

Officially National Honesty Day!

On this Day in History:

On April 30, 1789, In New York City, George Washington, the great military leader of the American Revolution, is inaugurated as the first president of the United States.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

The largest known dinosaur skull is longer than a horse's body.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

The Pillar of the Week is Respect, our second Pillar of Character, represented by the color yellow. Think "The Golden Rule".
The Golden Rule state's; One should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself. In simple terms, treat others the way you want to be treated.
According to Confucius,  “ Respect yourself and others will respect you.”

Today is the official start of CST testing. We have faith in all of our College Bound Roadrunners that you will do your best. Your teachers have prepared you well and you are all capable. Take a deep breath, relax, and show what you know!

Teachers, also remember that all electronic devices must be off during testing. This includes classroom computers, teacher laptops, iPods, and cell phones. Also, student that arrive after 8:30 will not come to your classroom until after testing is complete. They will go to the library.

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
