Good Morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Tuesday, April 23, 2013. The forecast calls for sunny skies with a high of around 71 degrees.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from Mr. Truett's class to lead us with the pledge.

Next week we will be joined by Mr. Horstman's class for the pledge.

Today is...

Officially International Marconi Day!

On this Day in History:

According to tradition, the great English dramatist and poet William Shakespeare is born in Stratford-on-Avon on April 23, 1564.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

Babies are born far sighted - their eyes start to focus properly between 3 to 6 months of age.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

The Pillar of the Week is Trustworthiness, our first Pillar of Character, represented by the color blue. Think "true blue".
When others trust us, they give us greater leeway because they feel we don’t need monitoring to assure that we’ll meet our obligations. They believe in us and hold us in higher esteem. That’s satisfying. At the same time, we must constantly live up to the expectations of others and refrain from even small lies or self-serving behavior.
According to Stephanie Ericsson, American writer, “ When somebody lies, somebody loses.”

From PTA: It's not too late to turn in Box Tops!

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
