Good Morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Tuesday, April 16, 2013. The forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with a high of around 59 degrees.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from Mrs. McWilliam's class to lead us with the pledge.

Next week we will be joined by Mrs. Glaze's' class for the pledge.

Today is...

Officially National Library Day!

On this Day in History:

On April 16, 1889, future Hollywood legend Charlie Chaplin is born Charles Spencer Chaplin in London, England.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

The human brain is 80% water.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

The Pillar of the Week is Citizenship, our sixth Pillar of Character, represented by the color purple. Think regal purple as representing the state.
An effective citizen is someone who takes time away from their “pursuit of happiness” to do things that sustain our freedoms and keep the country safe.
Nick Homer, Executive Director - Good Citizen, “Americans need a broader view of citizenship - it goes well beyond voting, jury duty, and community service.”

Looking ahead; Thursday is National Wear Your Pajamas To Work Day.

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
