Good Morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Thursday, November 29, 2012. The forecast calls for partly cloudy with a chance of showers in the morning and a slight chance of showers in the afternoon, with a high around 67 degrees. There is also a chance of rain tonight and tomorrow.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from _________________ class to lead us with the pledge.

November 29th is officially, "National Square Dance Day".

On this Day in History:

On this day in 1877 – Thomas Edison demonstrates his phonograph for the first time.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

The Pineapple is actually a giant berry.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

The Pillar of the Week is Respect, the second Pillar of Character, represented by the colors yellow or gold:
It’s important to give respect to everyone. Do you think it would feel good if someone teased you because you wore glasses, or called you stupid for saying you liked a certain movie? No way! Chatty, shy, blue-eyed, brown-eyed, girl, boy, young, old – the world is full of special people, and they all deserve your equal respect!
According to a Jamaican proverb, “ When you go to a donkey's house, don't talk about ears.”

Don't forget tomorrow is RSU Friday. Remember to show your school pride by wearing RSU colors. The morning assembly is cancelled  and there will not be any frog spit. We'll converge on the RSU quad next Friday.

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
