Rocky and Bullwinkle Day
On this Day in History:
On this day in 1863, President Abraham Lincoln delivers what will become one of the most famous speeches in American history, at the dedication of the military cemetery at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Using just 272 words, Lincoln articulated the meaning of the Civil War for a public that had grown weary of the conflict. The text begins with the now famous words, "Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal."

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:
The Pillar of the Week is Fairness, our fourth Pillar of Character, represented by the color orange. When you think about fairness, think of dividing an orange into equal sections to share fairly with friends.
Fair people are impartial. They make decisions without favoritism or prejudice. They also honor equity. They correct mistakes, promptly and voluntarily and realize it is improper to take advantage of the weakness or ignorance of others.
According to Bill Clinton, 42nd U.S. president, "In our hearts and in our laws, we must treat all our people with fairness and dignity, regardless of their race, religion, or gender."
Tomorrow is RSU Friday. We look forward to seeing everyone in the Character Counts Quad for Friday Morning Assembly.
This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
