Good Morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Thursday, November 1, 2012. The forecast is calling cloudy skies, with a high around 70 degrees.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from _________________ class to lead us with the pledge.

November 1st is officially, "National Plan Your Epitaph Day".

On this Day in History:

On this day in 1765, In the face of widespread opposition in the American colonies, Parliament enacts the Stamp Act, a taxation measure designed to raise revenue for British military operations in America.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

Porcupines float in water.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

The word of the week is Citizenship, our fifth Pillar of Character, represented by the color purple:
The good citizen does more than their "fair" share to make society work, now and for future generations. Such a commitment can have many expressions, such as conserving resources, recycling, using public transportation and cleaning up litter. The good citizen gives more than they take.
According to a Elvis Presley, American rock 'n' roll icon,  "Happiness is knowin' you've done a good job, whether it's professional or for another person."

Fundraiser Update:

Don't forget about our fundraiser. Orders due November 12th. Mr. Bones, the Fundraising Dog will be visiting X classroom.

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
