Good morning Rock Springs School.


Today is Thursday, March 22nd, 2012. We’re in for sunny skies with a high of 66 again today. The forecast calls for possible light rain tonight and tomorrow morning, so be prepared.

History

On this day in 1765, the British government passes the Stamp Act. In an effort to raise funds to pay off debts and defend the vast new American territories won from the French in the Seven Years' War, the British government passes the Stamp Act on this day in 1765. The legislation levied a direct tax on all materials printed for commercial and legal use in the colonies, from newspapers and pamphlets to playing cards and dice.


Here’s a random Science Facts for today;

Ants cannot chew their food, they move their jaws sideways, like scissors, to extract the juices from the food.
