The Pillar of the Week is Responsibility, the third Pillar of Character, represented by the color green:
Responsible people exercise self-control, restraining passions and appetites (such as hatred, gluttony, greed and fear) for the sake of longer-term vision and better judgment. They delay gratification if necessary and never feel it’s necessary to "win at any cost." They realize they are as they choose to be, every day.
According to Edward Macnaghten, British Politician, "To protect those who are not able to protect themselves is a duty which every one owes to society."
Tomorrow is RSU Friday! It should be a beautiful day for a morning assembly. Tomorrow also marks our 100th day of school. We'll see everyone in the Character Counts Courtyard to celebrate 100 day of great learning at Rock Springs University!
This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
