Good Morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Thursday, February 21, 2013. The forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with a high of around 56 degrees.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from Mrs. Fridell and Mrs. Schmottlach's class to lead us with the pledge.

Next week we will be joined by Mrs. Conner and Mrs. Dias' class for the pledge.

February 21st is officially, "National Sticky Bun Day".

On this Day in History:

On this day in 1948, the National Association for Stock Car Racing--or NASCAR, is officially incorporated.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

Dolphins only "sleep" half awake - keeping one eye open while consciously breathing and floating on surface.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

Your word for the day is  Healing
Writer, poet, activist, and professor Maya Angelou turned a traumatic childhood experience into a catalyst for creativity and achievement. Today, choose a painful incident in your life and find the “gift” it has given you. Consciously share this gift with others.

Hearts for Huntington's Disease

What a way to show CARING and CITIZENSHIP! Rock Springs students have already sold 113 hearts for huntington's disease. Keep selling and showing you care.

PTA 80's Dance

The PTA 80's Dance has been rescheduled to March 8th.

Read Across America Week

Next week is Read Across America Week. We will be celebrating the love of reading all next week at RSU.

RSU Friday

Tomorrow is RSU Friday. Be sure to show your school spirit by wearing Rock Springs colors and we'll see you in the Character Counts Quad for our Friday morning celebration.

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
