Good morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Monday, October 15, 2012. It's going to be warm this week. The forecast is calling mostly sunny skies and a with a high of 92 degrees.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from _________________ class to lead us with the pledge.

October 15 is officially, "National Mushroom Day". Time to come out of the dark, there's a fungus amoungus!

On this Day in History:

On this day in in 1991, Clarence Thomas, was confirmed to the Supreme Court. Clarence Thomas was the first African American to sit on the Supreme Court.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

The shark has to keep moving to stay alive.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

The word of the week is Fairness, our fourth Pillar of Character, represented by the color orange:
What is fairness? Most would agree it involves issues of equality, impartiality, proportionality, openness and due process.
According to Eleanor Roosevelt, former First Lady, civil rights advocate, "It is not fair to ask of others what you are unwilling to do yourself."

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
