Good Morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Monday, November 5, 2012. The forecast is calling sunny skies, with a high around 93 degrees.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from _________________ class to lead us with the pledge.

November 5th is officially, "American Football Day".

On this Day in History:

On this day in 1930, Sinclair Lewis is the first American to be awarded the Noble Prize in Literature.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

When you blush, your stomach lining also reddens.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

Since this is election week, we will continue with Citizenship as the word of the week. Citizenship, is our fifth Pillar of Character, represented by the color purple:
An effective citizen is someone who takes time away from their “pursuit of happiness” to do things that sustain our freedoms and keep the country safe.
According to a Barbara Jordan, American congresswoman and professor,  "What the people want is very simple. They want an America as good as its promise."

Fundraiser Update:

Don't forget about our fundraiser. Orders due November 15th. Mr. Bones, the Fundraising Dog will be visiting X classroom.

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
