Good Morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Monday, November 26, 2012. The forecast calls for mostly sunny skies, with a high around 71 degrees.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from _________________ class to lead us with the pledge.

November 16th is officially, "National Shopping Reminder Day".

On this Day in History:

On this day in 1941, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signs a bill officially establishing the fourth Thursday in November as Thanksgiving Day.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

A woodpecker can peck with a force as high as 1,200 g's with each impact - equivalent to a human striking head against a wall at a speed of 16mi an hour each time.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

The Pillar of the Week is Respect, the second Pillar of Character, represented by the colors yellow or gold:
What does it mean to treat other people with respect? Respect gives a positive feeling of esteem. Rude conduct is usually considered to indicate a lack of respect, or disrespect, whereas actions that honor somebody or something indicate respect. This week I challenge you to honor at least one person each day.
According to an Arapaho (Native-American) proverb, “ When we show our respect for other living things, they respond with respect for us.”

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
