Good Morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Monday, March 4, 2013. The forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with a high of around 63 degrees.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from Ms. Roberts / Ms. Martinez's class to lead us with the pledge.

Next week we will be joined by Mrs. Riley's class for the pledge.

March 4th is officially, "National Pound Cake Day".

On this Day in History:

On this day in 1861, Abraham Lincoln becomes the 16th president of the United States.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

The jaw is the strongest muscle in the human body in terms of exerting force.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

The Pillar of the Week is Respect, our second Pillar of Character, represented by the colors yellow or gold. Remember to think "the Golden Rule".

This is the Season of Non-violence:

Your word for the day is Humility
Making mistakes is a part of learning and growing, simply an “error in approach.” Today, freely acknowledge at least one mistake you make and reflect for a couple of minutes on what you have learned.

Hearts for Huntington's

As of Friday after school, we have 1,211 hearts/$ for Huntington's disease. Thank you to ALL!

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
