Good Morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Monday, March 11, 2013. The forecast calls for sunny skies and high of around 75 degrees.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from Mrs. Riley's class to lead us with the pledge.

Next week we will be joined by Mrs. McDowell's class for the pledge.

On this Day in History:

Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus is published in 1818. The book, by 21-year-old Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, is frequently called the world's first science fiction novel.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

The human body contains about 9,600km (6,000mi) of blood vessels.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

The Pillar of the Week is Responsibility, our third Pillar of Character, represented by the color green. Remember to think Think being responsible for a garden or finances; or as in being solid and reliable like an oak.

This is the Season of Non-violence:

Your word for the day is Acceptance
“Resentment, fear, criticism, and guilt cause more problems than anything else,” says author Louise Hay. Today, choose not to judge yourself (your looks, your capabilities, your expression). See yourself as unique, loving, capable and bright!

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
