Good Morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Monday, December 3, 2012. The forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies with a chance of rain and a high of around 69 degrees.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from _________________ class to lead us with the pledge.

December 3rd is officially, "National Roof-Over-Your-Head Day".

On this Day in History:

On this day in 1818, Illinois achieves full statehood on this day. Though Illinois presented unique challenges to immigrants unaccustomed to the soil and vegetation of the area, it grew to become a bustling and densely populated state.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

Chimpanzees are the only animals that can recognize themselves in a mirror.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

The Pillar of the Week is Responsibility, the third Pillar of Character, represented by the color green:
Responsibility means doing what needs to be done to take care of yourself, your family, your friends, and the greater community. Being responsible means that others can rely on you, that you follow through on your promises.
According to John D. Rockefeller, Jr., entrepreneur, “ Every right implies a responsibility, every opportunity an obligation, every possession a duty.”

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
