Good Morning Rock Springs School!

Today is day 143 of school on this Monday, April 18, 2016. The forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with high of about 87 degrees.

This morning we have ________ to lead us with the pledge.

Next week, we will be joined by the Kindergarten classes for the pledge.

Today is...
High Five Day

On this Day in History
On this day in 1775, Boston Patriots Paul Revere and William Dawes set out on horseback from the city to warn Adams and Hancock and rouse the Patriot minutemen. This is the day the phrase, "The British are coming, the British are coming!" became famous.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today
It’s not possible to tickle yourself.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School
It's Pillars of Character Week at RSU!

Are you a TRRFCC (terrific) student? If you are then you are demonstrating the Six Pillars of Character.
Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship.

Character is all around us. Your challenge for the week is to find examples of good character outside of our school community and share them with your class.

According to Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, German poet, novelist, playwright, scientist and philosopher, "You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him."

4th Grade Week

CAASPP Testing
CAASPP testing continues today. Testing today are Mrs. Mallinger and Ms. J. Isherwood.

Safety First!
  • The playground swings are off limits and will remain off limits until further notice.
  • Remember to use the crosswalk.
  • Please remember to walk when traveling through campus.
  • Also, remember to use quiet voices in all academic areas.
  • Play safe on the playground and when the bell rings to line up, walk to your line safely. We do not want anyone running as you could get hurt.
  • When you arrive at school in the morning, you are to to sit at the lunch tables. All students are to remain sitting at the lunch tables until the duty teacher says that you may get up.
  • At the end of the day, your teacher will walk you to your designated exit for parent pick-up. If your ride is not there, you need to wait, stay at the front of the school and wait patiently and quietly for your ride.

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!"
