Good morning Rock Springs School.

Today is Frog-Spit Friday, March 8th, 2012. It’s a beautiful day with a high around 80. Remember, PTA will be selling Mrs. Frank’s favorite, Frog Spit, as well as some other tasty treats after school today.

On this day in 1959, the first Barbie doll went on display at the American Toy Fair in New York City.

Also in history today, one of the most famous naval battles in American history occurred.   During the American Civil War, what became known as the Battle of the Ironclads, was a battle that took place in Chesapeake Bay between to of the first iron clad ships, the U.S.S. Monitor, and the C.S.S. Virginia.

Also, the planet Saturn has a density lower than water. So, if placed in water it would float.
