Today is Friday, September 27, 2013. The forecast calls for sunny skies with a high of around 83 degrees.
This morning I have a group of college bound Roadrunners from Mr. Horstman's Class.
Next week, Mrs. Zacharias's class will be leading up in the pledge.
Ancestor Appreciation Day!
On this day in 1779, the Continental Congress appoints John Adams to travel to France as minister plenipotentiary in charge of negotiating treaties of peace and commerce with Great Britain during the Revolutionary War.
Kids’ fingerprints disappear from surfaces faster than adults do.
The Pillar of the Week is Fairness, our fourth Pillar of Character, represented by the color orange. When you think about fairness, think of dividing an orange into equal sections to share fairly with friends.
• Play by the rules
• Take turns and share
• Be open-minded; listen to others
• Don’t take advantage of others
• Don’t blame others carelessly
• Treat all people fairly
According to a German proverb, "To blame is easy; to do it better is difficult."
This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
