Good morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Friday, October 5, 2012. The forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and a high of 80 degrees.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from _________________ class to lead us with the pledge.

On this Day in History:

American David Kunst completes the first round-the-world journey on foot, taking four years and 21 pairs of shoes to complete the 14,500-mile journey across the land masses of four continents.
Also, tomorrow is the Worldwide day of Play. So let's get outside tomorrow and play!

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

93% of a water melon is water.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

The word of the week is Respect, our second Pillar of Character, represented by the color yellow or gold:
Accept individual differences and beliefs without prejudice. Judge others only on their character, abilities and conduct.
According to Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens), American humorist, author and journalist, "Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great."

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
