Good Morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Friday, May 17, 2013. The forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with a high of around 68 degrees.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from Ms. S. Isherwood's class to lead us with the pledge.

Next week we will be joined by Mrs. Werner's class for the pledge.

Today is...

Officially National Bike to Work Day.

On this Day in History:

This night in 1929 marks the first-ever Academy Awards ceremony, Hollywood’s annual celebration of the best its creative artists have to offer over the previous year.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

The world’s population grows by about a billion people every 12 years.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

The Pillar of the Week is Fairness, our fourth Pillar of Character, represented by the color orange. When you think about fairness, think of dividing an orange into equal sections to share fairly with friends.

• Play by the rules
• Take turns and share
• Be open-minded; listen to others
• Don’t take advantage of others
• Don’t blame others carelessly
• Treat all people fairly

According to Victor-Marie Hugo, French author, "Being good is easy, what is difficult is being just."

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
