Good Morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Friday, March 1, 2013. The forecast calls for sunny skies with a high of around 82 degrees.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from Mrs. Conner and Mrs. Dias' class to lead us with the pledge.

Next week we will be joined by Ms. Roberts/Ms. Martinez's class for the pledge.

March 1st is officially, "National Peanut Butter Lover's Day".

On this Day in History:

On this day in 1872, Yellowstone National Park becomes the nation's first national park.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

The life of an eyelash is about 5 months.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

The Pillar of the Week is Trustworthiness, our first Pillar of Character, represented by the color blue. Remember to think "true blue"
Be honest • Don’t deceive, cheat, or steal • Be reliable — do what you say you’ll do • Have the courage to do the right thing • Build a good reputation • Be loyal — stand by your family, friends, and country.
According to poet and scholar, A.E. Housman, "The house of delusions is cheap to build but drafty to live in."

This is the Season of Non-violence:

Your word for the day is  Creativity
The worse thing you can do to a human soul is to suppress its natural desire to create. Identify at least five ways in which you express your creativity everyday. Today, allow something unpredictable and joyous to express through you.

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”

Dr. Seuss, "Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened."
