Good Morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Friday, February 22, 2013. The forecast calls for sunny skies with a high of around 61 degrees.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from Mrs. Fridell and Mrs. Schmottlach's class to lead us with the pledge.

Next week we will be joined by Mrs. Conner and Mrs. Dias' class for the pledge.

February 22nd is officially, "International World Thinking Day".

On this Day in History:

On this day in 1732, George Washington is born in Westmoreland County, Virginia.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

An alligator may go through 2000 to 3000 teeth in a lifetime.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

The Pillar of the Week is Citizenship, the sixth Pillar of Character, represented by the color Purple.
Do your share to make your school and community better • Cooperate • Get involved in community affairs • Stay informed; vote • Be a good neighbor • Obey laws and rules • Respect authority • Protect the environment • Volunteer
According to a Greek proverb, "A civilization flourishes when people plant trees under which they will never sit."

This is the Season of Non-violence:
The word of the day is Dreaming
Martin Luther King, Jr., had a great dream. What is your own dream for peace? Write it down. What is one thing you can do to honor your dream? Do it today.

PTA 80's Dance

The PTA 80's Dance has been rescheduled to March 8th.
