Good Morning Rock Springs School!

Today is Friday, December 7, 2012. The forecast calls for partly cloudy skies becoming mostly sunny with a high of around 74 degrees.

This morning, we have a group of college bound roadrunners from _________________ class to lead us with the pledge.

December 7th is officially, "National Cotton Candy Day".

On this Day in History:

This day in history is known as "A date which will live in infamy".
On this day, in an early-morning sneak attack, Japanese warplanes bomb the U.S. naval base at Oahu Island's Pearl Harbor—and the United States enters World War II. Let's all take a moment today to remember those who have and still gallantly served our country. Hooyah.

Here’s a random Science Facts for today:

Hot water freezes faster than cold water.

Your Character Counts at Rock Springs School:

The Pillar of the Week is Responsibility, the third Pillar of Character, represented by the color green:
Responsibility means Do what you are supposed to do • Plan ahead • Persevere: keep on trying! • Always do your best • Use self-control • Be self-disciplined • Think before you act — consider the consequences • Be accountable for your words, actions, and attitudes • Set a good example for others.
According to Les Brown, big band leader and composer, “ If you take responsibility for yourself you will develop a hunger to accomplish your dreams.”

This concludes today’s announcements. Thank you college bound roadrunners, and remember,
“Keep a smile on your face, it will increase your face value!”
